Westerly Ocean Lord used

The Westerly Oceanlord is a well built offshore family cruiser with great performance in all weathers.  These easily handled yachts offer a lovely layout below and are fitted out to a high standard with teak joinery.  They have a well deserved reputation as capable bluewater cruisers, though the moderate draft and simple rig also allow worry-free coastal cruising.  This excellent example has been carefully used and well maintained. ACCOMMODATION
The layout offers up to eight berths with two double sleeping cabins separate from the main accommodation.  There is full standing headroom, generous ventilation and excellent stowage throughout.  In the forecabin, V berth with infill and stowage under.  Locker with hanging space and shelves.  Opening hatch to foredeck. Separate heads compartment to port with marine toilet, shower and washbasin.  Hanging lockers opposite.  In saloon, dinette to port (converting to double berth) with settee berth opposite.  Fixed table with drop leaves.  Opening hatch to deck.  Chart table to port with galley opposite.  Two burner gimballed gas cooker with grill and oven.  Twin stainless steel sinks with hot and cold pressurised water system. Refrigerator.  Walk through to aft cabin with single berth to port.  In aft cabin, double berth to centre with stowage under and small settee opposite.  Opening hatch to deck.  Hanging locker.  En-suite heads compartment with marine toilet, shower and washbasin.  Holding tank to aft heads.  Diesel fired hot air central heating.  Radio/CD player.  Carpets and curtains.  Red Upholstery.


MECHANICAL SYSTEMS
Located in insulated compartment under the cockpit, Perkins Prima M60, four cylinder 60hp diesel engine.  Electric start.  Freshwater cooled via heat exchanger.  Shaft drive to a Bruntons feathering three bladed propeller.  Single lever control.  Approximately 200 litre fuel tank. Annually serviced at the end of every season.

CONSTRUCTION
Built in 1992 by Westerly Yachts to a design by Ed Dubois.  White GRP hull with dark blue sheer stripe.  Teak rubbing strakes.  White GRP superstructure with teak laid decks.   Centre self draining cockpit with teak laid seats and teak cockpit grating.  Fin keel with cast iron ballast.  Spade hung rudder. Wheel steering.  The hull was epoxied as a preventative measure in 1992.
