Westerly Konsort 29 occasion

A very nicely presented, twin-keeled example of the very popular Westerly Konsort, well maintained and extensively equipped with many recent upgrades and designed by Laurent Giles, built by Westerly Yachts Ltd. in 1982, 'Moonstone' with her yard number of D336, her shallow draft, perfect for beach and river combing, version of the very popular Konsort.

Mechanical, Electrical and Solar Systems:
The Bukh DV20, twin-cylinder diesel, is the original engine; this vessel was sold previously by a former superintendent of tugs in the naval port of Devonport, a professional marine engineer. Consequently, this particular Bukh has been professionally stripped down and rebuilt, was reinstalled in January 2015, and fully serviced in 2024, including a new impeller.
A lip seal by Volvo Penta is fitted to the inboard end of the stern tube, and a three-bladed rope cutter propeller is fitted on the shaft.
The electrical systems were professionally updated and upgraded in 2022, with two 110 A/hr batteries being switched through individual, double pole switches and a voltage-sensitive relay (VSR) system, which allows two batteries to be charged simultaneously. This allows the two batteries  (motor and leisure) to be charged simultaneously, including an automatic bridging link system to protect the motor battery, all included in the recent 2022 upgrade. Charging is an upgraded alternator 2021 and 240V AC battery charger.
A 12V DC inverter with a 300W max. Output and USB charging output sockets are fitted.

Solar:
New, integrated Solar panel power supply, professionally fitted in 2022, Voltage Sensitive Relay (VSR) system, provides an option for daylight power to intelligently top-up the batteries, useful for long sailing legs or non-electric moorings.

Heating system:
Eberspacher indirect diesel fuelled cabin heater, full service and parts upgraded 2022, remote control thermostat—extraordinarily efficient and effective energy use.
Shore power supply:
Shore power electrics were serviced and upgraded to the new system 2022, replacing cable professionally tested and installed.
 
Cabin:
Six berths in two cabins with blue upholstery and professionally replaced headlining throughout.
Forecabin with V berth and infill, side shelving and overhead hatch.
Heads compartment: with marine-flushing toilet, pull-out wash basin, and hand-pumped cold water. Under-deck closed locker.
Large hanging locker, with divider opposite the heads compartment.

Saloon:
Parallel settee berths to port and starboard; the port side's settee extends to make a double berth, centreline double-leafed table, quarter-berth to port side, Nice quality, bulkhead-mounted clock and barometer set. 240V AC Samsung TV Chart table: with modernised switch and monitoring panels. Radio/CD player.
L' shaped galley:
Stainless steel sink, foot-pumped freshwater, refrigerated top-opening coolbox (serviced 2022) and updated two-burner stove with oven and grill. Ledge Some crockery, cutlery, two saucepans and a kettle are included.

Galley:
Excellent condition, twin hob and oven, gas cooker. 
Wide range of crockery and cutlery.
Integrated electric-powered fridge (serviced 2022)  

Sails:
Bermudan, masthead sloop rig on Selden spars (badged as by Kemp Masts), fitted with a Rotostay reefing system on the forestay. The standing rigging was renewed in 2016.
Halyards and reefing lines are led aft to banks of stoppers and two single-speed winches at the aft end of the coach roof.
A replacement mainsail is by Kemp Sails and is provided with three sets of reefing points. It is covered with and supported on the main boom by a blue-coloured acrylic 'Packaway' sail bag and lazyjacks.
