Layout:The sailing yacht Caledonia it built for an owner who wants to go on a big trip or live on the yacht.She offers a lot of space and storage for living. All the teak wood in the interior was refurbished and newly varnished during the refit 2019 to 2021. The ceilings and sides were painted white.The interior of the SY Caledonia is a brilliant blend of elegance, form and function. Walk down the stairs from the cockpit and enter the spacious deckhouse, which is light, bright and inviting. Large fixed windows line three sides. They two large opening Lewmar hatches overhead provide good ventilation. The large U-shaped seating area to port is covered in beige leather (new refit 2019/2021). On the starboard side is the inside steering position with inside navigation and electrical panel 12 and 24V and a large chart locker with built-in Vitrifrigo DRW180A Double Drawer All in ONE freezer-refrigerator (new refit 2019/2021). Behind this is the companionway to the engine room and owner's cabin.The front steps from the deckhouse lead into the lower saloon. The lower salon, which also includes the kitchen with a counter, has a sitting area with table that can be converted into a lounger/bed(200 x 90) from which you can enjoy either the built-in fireplace or the swivelling LED TV (new refit 2019/2021).The fully equipped kitchen with a lot of space brings a lot of fun to cooking. It features a semi gimballed Miele DGC 7660 Combi Steam Oven (new refit 2019/2021) with a Miele Induction Cooktop (new refit 2019/2021), Miele G 3820 SCU Dishwasher (new refit 2019/2021), Garbage Compressor, Vitrifrigo XTP Ice Maker (new refit 2019/2021) and a Vitrifrigo DRW180A Double Drawer All in ONEfreezer-refrigerator (new refit 2019/2021). This area is also adequately ventilated with two opening Lewmar deck hatches.Returning back to the deckhouse, to starboard, one would find in the aft five stairs leading down past the electrical panel for 230 V and engine room access. On the starboard side of the gangway is a full skipper's berth (200 x 60). Aft of that is the master suite.The master´s suite with a double and a single bed as well as an adjoining bathroom (new Refit2019/2021) with separate shower offers plenty of space. A highlight is certainly the two-person sauna built in behind the shower. The built-in secretary desk and the money safe further enhance the cabinThe guest cabin in the bow, with entrance from the lower salon, has a large double bed with an adjoining bathroom with shower facilities. The bathroom has two doors and is also accessible from the lower saloon.Both cabins have Lewmar opening deck hatches. Furthermore, continuous ventilation is ensuredthroughout the ship via the dorade fans.From the pantry under the deckshouse you will find the laundry and workshop oft he yacht. TheMiele automatic washing / drying machine WTF130 WRM (new refit 2019/2021) will keep yourlaundry fresh.Hull:The hull and deckhouse is built out of steell. The draught is variable between 2.20 metres and 3.70 metres due to the hydraulic keel.During the refit in 2019/2021, all steel plates were checked and one replaced. Rust was removed and the exposed steel was re-preserved. The entire yacht (hull, deck, deckhouse, mast and bilges) was then repainted.The hull has a solid collision bulkhead between the sail load and the living area. Furthermore, the yacht has several compartments (stern garage, stern cabin, engine room and workshop) that can be sealed off.All portholes in the hull were refurbished and fitted with new seals - all Portholes are opening.Deck:The deck is well planned with wide open spaces. There is a bulwark all around. Stainless stellStainless steel bollards with integrated hawse in the bulwark at the bow, midships and stern provide chafe-free guidance of the harbour lines and a good mooring facility.The old teak deck was removed, the deck re-preserved and re-fitted with a new 10 mm fully bonded teak deck (new refit 2019/2021). At the same time, all hatches were converted to Lewmar flush Gen2 hatches (new refit 2019/2021) and all stainless steel dorade fans were overhauled and repolished.The yacht has two bow anchors and one stern anchor. For the bow anchor there are two anchorwinches, one hydraulic and one electric. There is a wash down system on the foredeck.The new sun pads (new refit 2019/2021) for the foredeck covered with water-repellent Sunbrella.Marine Plus (colour toast 152) offer sunbathing space for a good four people. Lifting boom for dinghy.The safe middle cockpit is U shaped with comfortable seating for 6 people. The fold-out cockpit table can be expanded into a larger table. From here the yacht can be comfortably steered and operated without leaving the cockpit even under sail. The entire upholstery was renewed with the refit 2019/2021.Behind the center cockpit there is a bench with cushions (new refit 2019/2021) for 2 people, which also forms the entrance to the rear garage and the receptacle for the emergency rudderTransom:The transom has a hydraulically folding stern platform and opens up a large storage space. The stern platform is covered with teak and can be folded out again for expansion. From the stern platform there is a bathing ladder to the water. The small aft jib is self-tacking and the jib sheet that steers the jib is led to a self-tacking track and then aft to a hydraulic cockpit winch.
